Waskada Spring Variety Concert

Waskada United Church was the gathering place Sunday afternoon April 7, 2019, for a great performance by our young people. Each spring, this event is eagerly awaited for. Parents, grandparents and friends were treated to such a variety of pleasant listening. There was musical theatre, vocal, piano, spoken poetry, violin, cello, flute, trumpet and guitar performances. MC duties were handled by Sharlene McGregor.

A first this year was a father, son and father, daughter piano duet; an auntie, uncle, nephew trio of piano, guitar and violin; and the same auntie with niece on cello and nephews on violins. Also added this year was a two family vocal group which included the moms and dads, too. A vocal group of Waskada School friends closed the show singing “Watch The Apples Grow”.

It was then out to the church annex for the part that the young folks like best – cookies & juice!

What an enjoyable afternoon! We are truly blessed to have all this talent so close around us.
