Very busy summer for Antler River Recreation

ARRD has had a very busy summer this year! We held day camps in Melita every Monday and Wednesday, Waskada every Tuesday, and Pierson every Thursday. Our day camps consisted of a variety of crafts and games. Some activities included painting and building bird baths and birdhouses, doing science experiments, baking, string art, and more! We had great attendance at all ofour camps this year. We also took a day trip to Reston Splash Park which went over extremely well. We are looking forward to more day camps in the future! We spent an afternoon at the pool in July and the kids had a great time. We also took two trips out to the Wildlife Management Area for a nature walk and other activities. Our summer programs are always a ton of fun, and we hope everyone had as much fun as we did this summer!

During Banana Days weekend, we put on a 4 on 4 volleyball tournament at River Park. The tournament went over really well despite the heat. Our first place team was April Cameron’s team and our second place team was Rienna Skelton’s team. Thanks to all the teams that participated in the tournament!
