“Take Action” 2019 Daffodil Campaign

Daffodil Days are once again in bloom as the Canadian Cancer Society is raising money to help fight cancer. In Melita, members of the K-ettes and other volunteers have been selling bunches of daffodils on behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society, and on Wednesday, March 20, they wrapped them at the CE Hall of the Victoria United Church to be delivered to those who purchased them. The money goes toward offering transportation support for cancer patients, providing scholarships, paying for lab equipment, maintaining the Smoker’s Helpline and other activities of the Canadian Cancer Society.
