Pierson School Christmas Concert

Pierson School held their annual Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 18. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 6, as well as Grade 8 student Earl Burnett on his saxophone, performed various songs, recitals and Christmas plays.

The entertaining evening was emceed by Grade 12 students Mikayla Murray and Mackenzie Lee. Students from Grades 1 and 2 recited two poems – “Dear Santa Claus” and “New Year’s Resolutions”.

The Kindergarten class did an amazing job of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”.

The Grade 3 and 4 students presented their play titled “A Flea on Santa’s Tree”. Earl Burnett, accompanied by Lori Jones on piano, played “We Wish You A Jazzy Christmas” on his saxophone.

Grades 5/6 students entertained the crowd with their play “Bring On The Snow!”.

The concert concluded with the entire K-Grade 6 choir singing “Little Drummer Boy”, “Suzie Snowflake” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” followed by “Here Comes Santa Claus”.

Throughout the concert, there were draws for door prizes as well as the Grade 5/6 Prize Basket Draw. On behalf of the students and staff, Mrs. McCallum presented Mrs. Jones with a beautiful poinsettia for her help with the musical numbers.

The bake table was loaded with lots of goodies for sale. The evening came to an end with a visit from Santa. What an excellent concert and congratulations to students and staff for a job well done!
