Meet more of the cast of The Jungle Book Kids

Kids Antler River Recreation and the Pierson Theatre Camp participants are very excited to bring you their performances of The Jungle Book Kids, the musical, on Friday, May 10, at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 11, at 3:00 p.m. in the Pierson Hall. Each week we will be introducing some of the students that are part of the cast, and we hope that you join us at the performances to see what the kids have been preparing!

Kamdyn Graham is a Grade 4 student at Melita School and will play the part of Kaa and be in the Ensemble. Kamdyn’s favourite productions she has been a part of include Annie and Beauty & the Beast. Kamdyn said that the best part of theatre camp is “getting to see all of your friends, and getting to dance” and that she also joined Theatre Camp because she likes to dance and sing.

 Tehya Custance is a Grade 4 student and will play the parts of Old/Grumpy Monkey and Ensemble. This is Tehya’s first musical production. She says that the best part of Theatre Camp is “getting to see all my friends and dancing – I really love dancing and singing”. Tehya said that she decided to join Theatre Camp because she thought it would be cool to be in a play. Tehya’s favourite song in The Jungle Book Kids is “That’s What Friends Are For”.

Aurora Custance is a Grade 2 students and will be in the Ensemble. This is also Aurora’s first musical production. Aurora said that her favourite part of Theatre Camp is “dancing and singing – it’s what I do at home sometimes with my sister Tehya”. Aurora decided to join Theatre Camp because she has never been in a musical before and “my mom told me it would be fun”. Aurora’s favourite song in The Jungle Book Kids is “Jungle Prologue”.
