A mound of socks, mitts and winter gear was collected as part of the Cornerstone Pastoral Charge (Waskada, Pierson, Lyleton United Churches) Mission Project this fall.
The items were given to the 7th Street Health Access Center in Brandon for distribution to those in need.
Thanks to the generous support of the communities, there will be many more warm toes this winter!
As part of this Project, financial support ($478) was also given through apple pie sales.
Members from the three churches met at Lyleton for a pie-making “bee” using apples from the Lyleton Orchard. Sales were brisk and sold out in no time.
We look forward to another project in the new year.
